At the beginning of the list is a reasonably new percussionist, a few might contend that he isn't actually a punk percussionist and more of a heavy metal one but I disagree, true he likes to calm it down and do his doom style fills but at heart he's truly a punk rocker-
Steve Jocz -AKA "Stevo"Born on July 23, 1981. Steve is mainly recognized for his drumming in the Canadian punk ensemble Sum 41. A fantastically speedy and awkward percussionist, he can turn the atmosphere of a song immediately. Only one of the few punk drummers that can sneak in cheesy metal fills and get away with handling it. He is also notorious for his toilet humour which is a known indicator of punk maturity/immaturity- you choose!
Travis BarkerBorn November 14, 1975. Arguably most recognized for his drumming in Blink 182 he's also banged away for numerous other bands. Travis sits in at no 4 not only as for his impressive speed and timing but also for his wide variety of techniques from Hip-hop to Punk, Pop to even Country.
Tré Cool (real name Frank Edwin Wright III)Born on December 9, 1972. He is 1 of the original (pretty much) 3 piece that are Green Day. Leaning extensively closer to the pop section of punk as a percussionist, Tré undeniably helped Green Day grasp the world audience that propelled them to superstars. If he been yet another, breakneck speed, unoriginal drummer the ensemble would have toiled to please such a sizeable market.
Josh FreeseBorn Christmas Day, 1972. Freese is mainly recognized for his drumming in The Vandals although is able to list numerous other bands and accomplishments. A breakneck speed percussionist capable of slowing it down and merge with the finest and has played for Guns N' Roses, Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson as if to prove the point. His individual records can also display a slower, more refrained drumming style showing that speed isn't all however personally I favour the Vandals noise.
Erik Sandin-AKA "Smelly"Born on July 29, 1966. Erik is the current percussionist for NOFX. Erik was an original member of the ensemble although departed 2 years after in 1983. In 1986 he was persuaded to re-unite with the ensemble but suffered from heroin dependence till 1992 when thankfully he booked into a rehab centre and has been clean ever since. Sandin maybe not the top of many people's list, for anyone who loves the flawlessness of NOFX then there is no challenger.

A lot of drummers are content by thrashing away the same old simple beats, however some go further than others to make the tune their own.

Even though Nicky has grown up (a little) and uses his days consulting for inbound call handling services, he is a gigantic devotee of punk. Even his hair's a bit more rational these days too.
