When you reload, you will discover most guns are mass produced but are hardly ever the same. I have found this on nearly all guns I have reloaded for. You have to remember that form fitting to your gun can alter your accuracy, so when testing loads attempt to use form fit brass to start with or the accuracy test could be skewed. The once fired brass will continuously give your best accuracy.

I have constantly looked for the hottest load that is the most accurate. What I mean is, when testing powder loads I always look for a load that is it’s most accurate at its hottest load. This does not happen frequently, but when it does it is remarkable. I was just looking for more information on reloading data and checked the Hodgdon manual and found it would be very beneficial to a new reloader to read about the different kinds and purposes of products that you may need. This information should be available in most manuals.

The big benefit I had when starting to reload was a acquaintance who was a reloading fanatic and had a library of manuals and the advice to go with it. I asked him why he never entered any of our Rod and Gun shoots. He said it would not be fair because no one there was in his class. He then showed me why. His gun of choice was a bull barrel .308 with a Douglas barrel and electronic trigger system and a scope I did not identify but it was massive and not one for hiking with.

He showed me his targets and stated that if he could not bust an aspirin at two hundred yards he was back to the reloading bench. My friend also said that a few hunting rifles just could not compete against a rifle like his. Looking at some of the five shot groups at a hundred yards that were in the same hole, I had to concur. He truly showed me the value of a good stock of Reloading Data.

I have found that there is a lot of information on reloading data on the internet. The greatest way to find a specific or rare load I found was to go to Yahoo Answers, sign in and ask the question. This can take a few hours or a day, but the answers are remarkable and a lot of them are properly researched. I like it anytime I can get high-quality and fast help for free.
