Magical Gemstone Used in Vintage Jewelry Design - By: blog.RubyLane.com  All of the various gemstones have long been used in jewelry as a fashion statement. One has only to look at Victorian pieces to see how prominent gemstones were in the designs. Those who are interested in metaphysics also have the belief that the various gemstones have many mystical qualites attached to them. Before you pooh pooh this idea, think about how copper is used. It is certainly very collectible, particularly pieces by Renoir and Rebajes. Additionally, many of you may have heard that wearing copper is beneficial for easing arthritis. Some of you may even have known someone who benefited from wearing the metal. Is it at least plausible that gemstones might have similar qualities? I am very intersted in holistic healing and have written several articles on the various gemstones for my research library on my websites, and in these articles I often mention the healing properties of the various gemstones. Here is a brief overview of some of the supposed metaphysical qualities of some very popular gemstones. a.. AMETHYSTS: it thought to be a help for headaches, pancreatic ailments, and backache. b.. AQUAMARINES: also helpful for headaches, and aids in the healing of pancreatic ailments, and backache c.. EMERALDS: Many believe these improve the intellect and memory and help with tired eyes and insomnia. d.. GARNETS: Supposedly relieves inflammations of the skin, and is believed to regulate the heart and blood flow and aid in curing depression. e.. HEMATITES: are thought to relieve hemorrhages, aid in lowering high blood pressure, helping with depression, and is a general pain reliever. f.. OPALS: Enables the wearer to find true love and happiness. g.. PERIDOT: Strengthen breathing, promote prosperity, growth, and openness in relationships. h.. RUBIES: This are the gemstones which help the wearer to find everlasting love i.. SAPPHIRES: Very effective for health problems relating to hearing , cancer and burns. j.. TURQUOISE: Thought to promote mental clarity and to enhance trust, kindness and understanding of others. What is your favorite gemstone? Does it have mystical qualities you may not even be aware of?
