Growing miniature roses inside requires particular awareness of their environment. Sun from windows alone may not provide enough light. When your roses have been attacked by pests and you have other plants, it is in your best interest to keep them separated, so the other plants do not suffer the same fate. If it was a serious enough attack, the plant can be cut back. It can re-grow and possibly have a fuller appearance than before. Attractive rose blooms can be attained by using a high potassium fertilizer. Mix the fertilizer and water in a 1:4 ratio and use it at least weekly.

Many individuals keep their Bonsai miniature rose plants indoors for a season and then set them outside. This is a good idea on occasion due to the pests that prey on them. However if they are placed outdoors without being removed from the containers they will quickly become dehydrated. Bonsai miniature roses can be planted into a garden as well.
