The designer Michael Kors was always passionate about fashion and design from a young age and began designing clothes at the age of 19 whilst studying fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Fashion was also something that was a major part of his family life, his grandfather being in the textile industry and his grandmother and mother being very trend and style focused. Therefore the aspiring designer was always exposed to fashion in a major way.
