The evergreen plant Medinilla is a beautifully flowering shrub that is considered part of the Melastomaceae family. There are 100 known species of such a plant, and some of them are represented in the form of vines. Medinilla is originally from the Philippines. In nature, it is found in Africa, Asia and on the island of Madagascar, and prefers to grow in the jungle. For the first time in Europe, this plant was planted in the middle of the 19th century in Mr. Veitch's greenhouse in England. The growth and development rate of such a perennial is average. Medinilla is considered the largest epiphyte, in nature its height can reach about 150 cm. The size of a houseplant can vary from 70 to 120 cm, while it looks like wild specimens. Caring for such a shrub is quite difficult, but if done correctly, the bush will bloom for a long time and very effectively. Flowering lasts from the last days of April to the middle of summer.
