1960s/70s Alvarez Model 4103. Made in Japan. Great Condition. Ready to Play. For Sale

1960s/70s Alvarez Model 4103 Classical Guitar. Hand made in Japan. High quality build all laminate construction. The woods have aged well and the result is the warm, resonent voice found in these vintage M.I.J. classicals. Plays with ease. 2" nut matched to 25.5" playscale. 19 frets all smooth on the ends. Lot's of life left in the frets and it frets easily no dead spots. It would benefit from a recrowing but not nessary. Low action 2.50mm at the 12th fret. Has nearly all of it's adjustment left at bridge saddle, amazing considering most classicals of this age suffer from high action and needing neck reset. Not this one. New set of Ernesto Palla Black and Gold normal tension nylon strings. Tuners appear original hold very well and a little tight is places. Guitar has only light swirling and light pickmarks topside. A couple of light scuffs on sides. Swirling and light scratches on back side. There is a hairline Stress crack topside at the bass side of the bridge. ( see last picture ) Aprox 1" top and bottom. This is in the top layer of Spruce only does not go all the way thur the top. Has not moved since owned from 2023. Probably from using high tension or ball end strings. Could easily be sealed with number 10 super glue from Stew-Mac. Guitar has o other cracks or splitting wood. No chips, no body bulging, neck is secure in pocket, bridge is level with no pull. All bracing is tight. No hidden repairs. Guitar has aged very well for 50 plus years old. Happy to answer any questions. No case but will use extreme caution when packing for shipment.
