1969 Bulova Accutron Deep Sea 666 Feet 40mm Wristwatch For Sale

This 1969 Bulova Accutron was purchased the same year. It is the first watch to use a tuning fork mechanism. The Accutron is an electronically controlled tuning-fork watch, not an ordinary mechanical watch. It had been a gift and has a very small engraving on the back of the watch that says "Love Always Debbie." Additionally on the back is the year indicator M9 indicating it was manufactured in 1969 and 4 small numbers that are almost none discernable 0099. The all black bezel shows wear between the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock dot markers. I have seen this model more frequently with a combined red and black colored bezel but not the all black version. The original band which was a partially stainless steal mesh was replaced by a stainless steel link band. The watch also has a small hairline scratch at the location on the left underside of the date marker that is barely visible.
