Here, I offer up a collection of ancient arrowheads and spearheads from various cultures and time periods, ranging from approximately 1200 B.C. to 1100 A.D.. This set includes original artifacts that show the evolution of weaponry design. Types of Artifacts shown are Bronze Age Points (1200 B.C. – 300 A.D.): Greek and Persian: Early examples include "leaf-shaped" blades. Roman: Specialized designs like the "Poison Socket" and decorated bronze points. Chinese: Distinctive "Swallowtail" designs from the Bronze Age. Celtic: Features socketed designs common in Western Europe. Iron Age and Medieval Points (400 A.D. – 1100 A.D.): Byzantine and British: Later iron points, including medieval "Swallowtail" and "Whistling" arrowheads often associated with Viking or Hunnic cultures. Key Characteristics Materials: Primarily cast bronze (often a 90/10 tin bronze) or iron.
