Antique Original Early 1900s 20s Art Deco Metropolitan Cast Iron Light Sconce For Sale

Wonderful original cast Iron early 1900s arts & crafts Mission porch/wall light. The light has had new wiring installed and works perfectly.  The majority of the fixture is cast iron, the glass is a white milk glass shade with the original black zinc enameled stripes.  The fixture is all original with the exception of the wires upgrade and two replaced globe screws that were missing. The light is circa 1900s- 1920s.  There are layers of old black paint with aging patina and flaking/Peeling scattered throughout. The glass shade is overall very intact without cracks or repairs, the original black zinc oxide enamel stripes are in typical condition for an original outdoor shade this age and has weathering as well as fading/scrapes throughout them from over 100 years of the elements but still very visible.

The milk glass shade has some dark scrapes scattered from use and there is some chipping around the fitter lip that goes into the fixtures receiver mount. The sconce is gorgeous as is or a great candidate for painting a specific desired color,  either way the fixture is going to be stunning installed within your restoration project.

        The cast iron metal is very intact. The finish is original as found, we do not alter the natural aging of antiques.

This light is extremely old and has imperfections but overall a very beautiful original surviving original cast iron mission/tudor light and worthy of any application where authenticity is a must.  The light has been given a new life and ready for another to enjoy.

Measures-  13" inches Tall x 6" diameter at the glass shade x 8" outward from wall. The square back mounting plate/base measures 9 1/4” tall x 4 3/4” wide.
