Beautiful Antique 18th – 19th Century Brass Tobacco Box For Sale

Antique 18th – 19thCentury Brass Tobacco Box. The Box features a scalloped designs on the 2 ends,as well as engraving. The Old Tobacco Box has 2 loops that would have had achain attached to it. The latch part would have had a pin that would go intoplace to lock up the box, it is missing. The hinged area on the back, has along pin that are turn to keep the pin from coming out. Looks like one coulduse an adjustment on the pin to insure it doesn’t come off. Measures: 6”across, 3 3/8” wide & 1 3/8” tall. I’ve looked all over for a maker’s mark,but didn’t find anything. The Box is pretty heavy for its size. Wonderfulestate find!
