German workshop violin made around 1900, Labeled "William Forster Violin Maker In Brampton". This violin has a special sound. A couple people have said it belongs in an orchestra somewhere with how big the sound is. A typical back length of a violin is between 355 and 357mm. This is 360, slightly larger. It was a bright sound with the Dominants on it, so I put Obligatos on it, a very nice, warm/ dark string. Also twice the price. It also sounded nice with Vision Solos on it before the Obligato.
The back is really intersting in that it has both the vibrant flaming, and some bear claw figure in it. One small old repaired crack by the fingerboard. Not significant, and no other issues. The string measurements are correct. You need to play this one. I do offer a week trial period for things like this if arranged though email.*Another sound sample available
