This authentic, beautifully framed 1906 etching by French Impressionist Camille Pissarro, titled Les Faneuses (The Haymakers), is a true piece of art history ready to bring warmth to your home! Originally composed around 1890, this specific antique impression was pulled in Paris in 1906 for Théodore Duret’s landmark portfolio L'Histoire des Peintres Impressionnistes and features Pissarro's signature atmospheric style, where a subtle film of warm sepia ink was intentionally left on the plate to capture a glowing, twilight haze across the field.
What makes this piece truly stand out is its stunning, museum-quality presentation. It is housed in a heavy, ornate gold-gilded frame with a premium fabric-wrapped mat that adds incredible depth, complete with a custom-engraved brass title plaque centered right beneath the artwork. It does also contain museum quality plexi glass. The etching itself is in excellent vintage condition, showing clean lines and rich contrast with no visible foxing, and the frame is strong and secure with a hanging wire ready for your wall. There is a small tear in the backing, but does not harm the piece in any way. For absolute peace of mind, the reverse side bears the original Certificate of Authenticity from Centaur Sculpture Galleries.
The entire framed piece measures 19” x 22”. Shipping is included in the price. Please note that shipping will include an adult signature! Please view all pictures, as it sells as is!
