Full-Size 1898-Pattern German Service Rifle — Non-Firing Display Prop
A 49-inch display prop of the German army's standard infantry rifle of the First World War — the long-barrelled 1898 pattern that armed the Imperial German infantry from the Boxer Rebellion through the whole of the Great War, and whose bolt action went on to be the most copied rifle design in history.
Note: As a 3D-printed item, it may show minor surface textures, layer lines, or small imperfections characteristic of the manufacturing process. These details are part of its unique "field-issued" look and can be easily sanded or painted if a custom finish is desired.
The prop carries the details that make this particular rifle recognisable at a glance: the tall ramp-and-leaf rear sight curving up from the barrel ahead of the receiver, the straight bolt handle with its round ball standing proud, the full-length one-piece stock with its finger groove and separate upper handguard, the flush box magazine, two barrel bands with sling swivels, the cleaning rod running under the muzzle, and the blade front sight with its bayonet lug.
Features:
  • NON-FUNCTIONAL DISPLAY PROP. No firing mechanism, no working action, nothing chambers, no projectile capability of any kind. It is a solid printed display piece
  • A true full-size replica — 49.3 inches overall, measured from the model and matching the real rifle to within about a millimetre
  • TOTAL ASSEMBLED SIZE — 49.26 × 3.88 × 8.31 in (1251.3 × 98.6 × 211.2 mm). Measured from the model
  • Ships with a blaze-orange muzzle tip permanently printed in, as required for imitation props
  • The full 1898 pattern: the long ramp-and-leaf rear sight that gives this rifle its unmistakable profile, the straight ball-ended bolt handle standing out from the receiver, a full-length one-piece stock with a finger groove and a separate upper handguard, a flush box magazine, two barrel bands with sling swivels, a cleaning rod beneath the muzzle, and a blade front sight with a bayonet lug
  • Completely unmarked — no maker's name, no date, no serial, no crest, no proof or acceptance stamps anywhere, so it paints up however you like
  • Prints in 4 sections that plug together on moulded spigots — each joint seats against a shaped shoulder, so the sections cannot twist out of line; can be glued for permanency (glue not included)
  • Ships unpainted in black PLA — the first photo shows a painted example; no stand, no bayonet and no sling are included
  • 3D printed to order on our in-house production printers — display-ready as printed

Please read:This is a display prop. It is non-functional: there is no firing mechanism, the action does not work, nothing chambers, and it cannot discharge a projectile of any kind. It ships with a blaze-orange muzzle tip printed into the part, not painted on, and that tip should not be removed. Buyers are responsible for their own state and local rules on imitation firearms.
How it's made:3D printed to order in quality black PLA on our in-house production printers. It arrives as 4 sections — muzzle, barrel, receiver and buttstock — joined by moulded spigots. Each joint seats against a shaped shoulder rather than a round face, so the sections line up straight and cannot twist. Pieces can be glued for permanency, glue not included.
