Six images of this 74-year-old book are shown below; as stated on the dust jacket, the text is "....an utterly candid and self-revealing journey back into memory". The book is: The Books in My Life, by Henry Miller, Published by New Directions Books, no date, 1952, first edition. This is the 1952 first edition with the following three points: The price of "$5.00" is on the dust jacket's front flap....Second, there are four, full-page, halftone photographs....Third, there is a publisher's statement on the jacket's rear panel (i.e., please see image #3 below) regarding an upcoming Henry Miller publication in "...late in 1952 or early in 1953". The book measures 8 3/4" x 5 1/2" and is 323 pages and in Very Good condition with a bookstore's label at the bottom spine corner of the rear endpaper and with some gentle overall wear. The dust jacket is not price-clipped (price: "$5.00") and in protective mylar. It is in Very Good condition with the small chips as shown in the first three images below and with some gentle fading and wear. Regarding the book, there is no former-owner's bookplate inside, no writing inside, no foxing, and there are no loose pages. It will be shipped in a solid new box anywhere in the United States via USPS Media Mail for free.
