Absolutely amazing high quality brass congreve rolling ball skeleton clock with superb proportions called "The Palladian Timepiece" by Rodney Jackson with this one number 17/250 of the limited edition clockThe case has a fantastic design to it with a 8 pillar corinthian columns construction which gives the palladian display lookThe clock has its original gilded ormolu finish which has an amazing display look as im sure you would agreeThe clock itself sits on a stepped marble base which sits on a solid wooden base which has a stepped edge and a drawer to the front which holds the original winding key, ball holder and original paperwork which are all pictured for you. The drawer also has a locking mechanism which you lock in from underneathThe clock comes with a full wooden cover which covers the clock for travelling with brass brackets which lock it down​​The clock has a singles silver chapter ring dial with roman numerals and it has its original filigree hands​​The clock is signed either side of the dial by the maker Rodney Jackson of Lake District EnglandOriginal high quality 8 day single fusee automaton movementThe movement turns over when the ruby ball bearing hits the lever either end of the table, the ruby jewel ball bearing runs down the track on the table which takes around 30 seconds each time​Comes with its original wooden handle winding key and has its own cylinder which holds the jewel ball bearingMovement is in full working order keeping reasonable time for these types of clocks - These were never made for time keeping they were purely show pieces​​​​They are extremely difficult to set up and get right so i definiately recommend a professional to set up for you initially as it will need various adjustments to get it running correctly. Unfortunately with some clocks it is not a matter of unpacking them, putting the pendulum on and away they go, some clocks will need the extra adjustments and setting into beat so please remember you may require a professional for initial setup before bidding. Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. Any clocks returned because of setting up issues or adjustments needed after transit then a fee will be applicable. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems unless stated in the add as they are tested vigorously before sending. 6 Months Return To Base Warranty On MechanismAll our clocks are tested for a minimum of 1week before listing onto ebay and working condition is clearly stated above

No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this

If on the rare occassion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myselfThere will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repairI offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repairPlease do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myselfShipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repairAll repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase.
