DESCRIPTION
Maritime (possibly Nantucket) sewing box with homespun cushion. Possible owner “Ann Coddle” was inscribed on the interior. Sides of the box are inscribed and decorated with four motifs/exotic scenes familiar to mariners:

1. US great seal/coat of arms

2. Zocalo Square (Plaza de la Constitucion)

3. St Paul Cathedral, London

4. Possibly the reflecting pool+ temple, Taj Mahal
