(Old Books, Early 20th Century Books, Travel, Tourism, Souvenir Albums, Italy, Venice, Art History).Ricordo di Venezia.
Published c. 1910, Italy.
72 pages. Text in Italian. Illustrated throughout, all leaves printed on recto only with blank versos.

A lovely album with a wonderful highly embossed jugendstil (art nouveau) cover design.

Attractive publisher's paper wrappers, oblong format, gilt title lettering with embossed designs, pictorial cover paste down, original decorative binding string.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time.

Binding gently age worn but still appealing, remains overall attractive as a physical object of this era.Text block paper is age toned as typical, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but does not look like a new book. This is an antique old book which has been handled over the past many decades.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.

Please review photos for our detailed attempt to present this tourist souvenir book as it actually survives. There is no attempt to hide anything but it's virtually impossible to list every single last tiny flaw or minor (normal) age defect which may exist

We often over-describe relatively normal or minor flaws that many sellers would not even bother to mention since most people would overlook them as unworthy of comment. Many people tell us the books they receive from us are nicer in person than they appears on the screen. We want you to be clear about what you are buying, so we take numerous photos and try to describe it openly and honestly. We accept returns, so we're on your side in any transaction. Thank you for being reasonable, if you have any doubts about condition or have very high expectations/ needs for super-fine, we advise you to not purchase the item so as to avoid disappointment.
