Vintage FAUX Ivory Artek JFK Collection Replica Scrimshaw set Charles Hector For Sale

Pair of vintage scrimshaw-style whale tooth bookends by Artek, the maker of the well-known JFK Collection reproductions, modeled on scrimshaw from President Kennedy's personal collection. Tooth is stamped JFK / ARTEK near the base. Though both reproductions feature both ships, when shelved, one tooth shows the whaleship "Charles" under full sail with a hand-colored red American flag. The other shows the "Hector" with red title lettering and pennant. Fine black engraved detail on both. Each tooth is mounted on a solid wood bookend base with a dark walnut-tone finish and a routed front edge.Resin/synthetic ivory reproductions. NOT genuine whale tooth or ivory. Legal to own and ship.Condition: Small chips to the tips of both teeth, showing orange underlayer. Light age toning and a few small spots to the surface.
