A good condition, ready to play, hand crafted German full size violin in the timeless Antonio Stradivarius style. This attractive classic is undated, but likely from the 1950s/60s era as evidenced by its gorgeous hand-selected tonewoods of Bavarian spruce and beautifully flamed maple, varnished in the period-characteristic golden brown. Its rich patina, showing decades of use also tells the story of a well-loved, frequently played instrument. The eye catching violin sounds as lovely as it looks with a rich, dark low end, a noble middle range and soaring high register. A repair to the lower rib just to the right of the end pin has no effect on the instrument’s strong sound. Case has been through a lot, and you may want to replace - but it’s functional, lined and clean with working latches. No bow.
