Pristine vintage Tom Selleck silkscreen — an original from rock poster artist K. Chillis, whose collectible prints are rare finds, rarer still in mint deadstock condition.
Dated 1982, printed between 1982 and 1984. Genuine deadstock, pallet-wrapped since the print run. Pulled from a barn-find trailer decades on. Not a reprint, not a reissue, not a reproduction.
Selleck at full wattage: curls piled high, the famous mustache framing a grin that could sell anything. Chillis renders him in a pearl-snap Western shirt, sleeves rolled, collar open, one hand hooked on a hip and the other in a pocket beside an ornate belt buckle and chunky wristwatch. Dense black hatching with crisp white highlights gives the shirt real weight on warm gold stock.
Dated 1982, this catches Selleck mid-run on *Magnum, P.I.*, the Hawaii-set CBS hit that made him one of television's biggest stars. It's also the era when his Magnum contract famously kept him from playing Indiana Jones, a near-miss that only added to the legend. His name runs alongside in looping script, sealing a portrait of peak early-'80s leading-man charm.
Paper measures 22 1/2" x 28 1/2" on heavy weight silkscreen stock. Happy to answer questions and suggest some easy framing options.
